"Our Purpose"

Now, with increasing extreme weather phenomena because of global warming, incidence of weather disasters is also increasing. We expect to make it easier for people to pay attention to the types of meteorological disasters that are common to their region and enable them to prepare themselves for the disasters.

"Meteorological disaster"

Geographically, Korea is located on the east coast of the Eurasian Continent and also adjacent to the Western Pacific. Therefore complex climate characteristics reveal both continental and oceanic features. It has distinct monsoon wind, a rainy period from the East-Asian Monsoon locally called "Changma", typhoon, and while often heavy snowfalls in winter.

Meteorological disasters are caused by extreme weather. As extreme weather events due to the climate change is increasing, the cause and scale of the disaster(typhoon, heavy rain, heavy snow) are increasing.
